In the 21st century, all the technologies are developing rapidly. Especially in the last 20 years, the development of technology has been like an ‘explosion’. While people enjoy convenient technology, they are also constantly worried about the threat posed by technology to them. Such as personal privacy issues and property issues that people are most concerned about. Of course, not every technology has made a leap forward, such as weather forecasting, earthquake forecasting, and now we don’t see how explosive breakthroughs will be made. Even with all the computational power of computers, I still have my doubts about the precise simulation of the atmosphere. At least for now, weather forecasts are based on cloud maps, not computer calculations. But the development of the IT industry is really amazing. AI and robot developments are also amazing.
What is a robot? The intelligent robot is the result of the integration of artificial intelligence technology and traditional industrial robot technology. The combination of artificial intelligence technology and robot technology will change the traditional robot industry pattern, just as the smartphone has overturned the traditional mobile phone. In Cynthia’s TED talk, I learned that in the history of robotics, robots went to Mars before they entered people’s lives. NASA is using robots to do things on Mars that normal people can’t do. Then the technology of robotics began to spread and enter our daily life. Cynthia proposes an interesting theory, ‘Robots=Social Technology. ‘She wanted us to show the basic communication that robots can have with humans. And in her experiments, people were more emotionally attached to the robot. At present, it seems that robot technology is of great help to the development of science and technology and the life of human beings. But a question we must think about is Should society worry and be more defined in these types of technology.
Artificial intelligence technology is not only used for robots, intelligence is not always confined to the body. Artificial intelligence technology is being applied on a large scale in every aspect of our life. It can be said that artificial intelligence technology is changing our daily life. Artificial intelligence is a collection of data and algorithms. Today, artificial intelligence is still in the stage of weak ARTIFICIAL intelligence. But with the continuous progress of science and technology today, we can almost foresee that one day in the future, the imitator intelligent robot will appear in everyone’s life. I think if people don’t limit the development of ARTIFICIAL intelligence early on, the plot of the movie ‘I, Robot’ will come true. People are hurt by the control of their technology. To control the development of artificial intelligence instead of restricting it, one could propose some laws that stipulate the production of robots. Just as Isaac Asimov, a science fiction writer, makes Zeroth Law in his work. 13. “A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.” My whole impression of robots before this has been derived from films and novels. In movies and novels, people are mostly controlled by the artificial intelligence technology they have developed. So I think if the development of artificial intelligence is not controlled, the story may come true. But the future is unpredictable, and we’ll never know what the future holds that will be cooler and more amazing.
Fifty years from now, when we look back on the development of science and technology, we will probably sigh with emotion that our way of life and thinking is very different from what we imagined 50 years ago.
